The Université de Montréal contributes to the Observatoire in a number of ways: provision of the director (on a half-time basis), use of office space, equipment loans, administrative support, etc. |

The City of Montreal is currently supporting the work of the Observatoire by collaborating on a strategy for developing a signage system within the underground city. In addition, within the framework of the revision of the City's master plan (plan d'urbanisme), a series of seminars should be offered in early 2004 concerning the development strategy of the underground city. |

| Specific companies within the private sector agreed to allocate funding to the Observatoire during the Un monde de projets funding campaign. The Groupe Canam-Manac, for example, thus created a grant for a master's student at the Institut d'Urbanisme. |
