Researchers of the ObservatoirePaul LEWIS is a urban planner and geographer. Professor at the Institut d'Urbanisme for a decade now, the main focus of his research is on public transport. Giovanni DE PAOLI, an architect, is a professor at the École d'architecture of the Université de Montréal. He is already a senior researcher with the Groupe de recherche en conception assistée par ordinateur (GRCAO), where he coordinates work on symbolic modelling. Jacqueline VISCHER, a psychologist, is a professor of interior design at the Faculté de l'aménagement. She is a specialist in the design of office spaces. Robert CHAPLEAU is a professor at the École polytechnique de Montréal. He is the director of the Groupe Madituc, and of teh Laboratoire de planification en transport urbain. His current focus is on pedestrian travel. John ZACHARIAS is the director of the geography department at Concordia University. He has published a number of articles on pedestrian pathways in a variety of settings. Jacques BESNER is an urban planner and an architect. After many years with the planning department, he now works within the Bureau de coopération et des relations internationales of the City of Montreal. He has contributed to the development of the underground city for over 20 years now, as well as to the creation of the Associated research centers for urban underground space (ACUUS).
